This test lab monkey was made for a Toy art show called “Medical experiments in plush”
held at PUSH Skateshop, Asheville, NC USA, in 2007.

HAM is my tribute to the first hominid to be launched into outer space.

On January 31, 1961, Ham was secured in a Project Mercury capsule and launched into outer space for a flight which was 16 minutes and 39 seconds long. during which he performed a task which he had been trained for by way of shock or reward of pushing a button.
Ham arrived back on earth relatively unharmed, he had bruised his nose. He lived the rest of his life out in a zoo.
